The Arkansas Forestry Association (AFA), the Voice of Forestry in the state, is seeking a talented communications professional to lead the association’s communication and marketing efforts as Communications Coordinator.  Organized in 1947, AFA is the only private, nonprofit organization that represents the entire forestry community in Arkansas.

Qualified candidates should be highly-organized, energetic, team-oriented, and possess the ability to build coalitions, manage multiple projects, and anticipate, identify and address emerging issues. Proven written, oral communication, social media and computer skills are essential.

Other required skills include experience with:

·         Print and electronic publication development, distribution and maintenance

·         Website Management

·         Media Relations

·         Community Relations

·         Fundraising

·         Advertising

·         Strategic Planning


Education Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in communications, journalism or marketing is required and at least two years of related experience is preferred.
