I am the Executive Director of Arkansas Broadcasters Association. How long have you been a member of ASAE? I've been a member for four years. What would you tell others about ASAE?I Take the time to engage with the group. You will gain knowledge and comfort in knowing that you are not alone in many of the good, bad and ugly experiences. What is the most important leadership lesson that you’ve learned? Surround yourself with smart people and empower them to make decisions. Provide direction, let go, and trust your team to do creative and excellent work on their terms. What is the most effective daily habit you possess? I have three! 1. Meditate regularly 2. Make health a priority, 3. Read daily. What is the most important leadership lesson that you’ve learned? Success is shared. The testament of good leadership is not found in times of success or good fortunate but in times of difficulty and challenge. Good leaders surround themselves with people that are equally or smarter than they are. Good leaders identify their own weaknesses and find people that excel in those areas. Anything special or unique you'd like membership to know about you? I am the youngest Broadcast Association Executive in the country. I am claiming this unique attribute for as long as I can. Considering I find silver in the hair more and more each morning. |
